Seasons and weather
Seasons in Korea vary tremendously and are very distinctive, lasting about 3 months each.
Winter: December ~ end of March - Cold and VERY dry with little snow - Ice is a common hazard to watch out for when walking and/or driving - Extreme cold snaps happen where temperatures can drop below 19ºC Spring: March~May - Spring is usually announced by the arrival of beautiful cherry and magnolia blossoms as well as new green leaves! :) - YELLOW DUST is carried by wind from China and Mongolia creating a very polluted look to the country as well as bothering those with allergies. Not so fun, eh? Summer: June~August - VERY HOT AND HUMID - Monsoon rains from the end of June~late July - Heavy rains can also occur in August due to Typhoons in Japan. Fall: September~November - Possibly the nicest season in Korea:) - Nice fall colors, mild temperatures - The weather is much cooler and dryer, but still nice enough for even just a light jacket!
